It still amazes me how I surround myself with beautiful, intelligent women. I love it. Even more is that one of them has been working for two years to get a product out the door. She and her partner have been working hard. Her more than her partner. Her partner came up with the idea, my friend has done the rest (just about, got to give the partner credit for finding an investor). My friend wrote up and got the patent, wrote up the business plan, … you get the idea. It is one cool product. Ya ya ya…

The problem is that there are so many ways of marketing resumes in this day and age. Getting my resume together, looking for a job with very specific criteria, and in a certain radius is hard to do.

I tried it not to long ago, just out of curiosity… but couldn’t find what I wanted. I don’t want to work more than 15 hours a week and be within a 15 mile radius of home. I can write help files, make network diagrams or type up just about anything. I can teach math or audit books. But there is very little ‘advertised’ work of that type. Mostly word of mouth. Hence, I am getting out more if I can to meet more people. I use to love to be around people… which is why I worked Customer Service for so many years… lately… I would rather not. I find it much more relaxing to just make copies for Tater’s teacher than to work on one of the ‘committees’.

I’ll keep my eyes open. And ears. Now if I can just keep my mouth shut. GRIN…
