Here comes Halloween… just weeks away… Tot is already wanting to get a pumpkin. But in South Florida… NOT a wise choice. It rots within days. Every year the newspaper has a website to watch the rotting pumpkin. Instead, we’ll wait on the pumpkin and put out some decorations that don’t rot. I just picked up some small decorations for the yard the other day the boys can put out. I still need spider webbing for the front door… but it’s getting close!
In fact, I am seriously considering having a party. Just a few friends over for an early evening. Most of us have small kids and late nights just aren’t an option! It is also close to my hubby’s birthday. I don’t think we have ever had a party for him. And what a great excuse! The question would be what kind of halloween treats sound good? Homemade? Store bought? A combination of both? Maybe little cauldrons full of treats? Some cool flowers with fake spiders in them?
How about a cool cake for hubby? A spider looking cake? Or jack-o-lantern? Of maybe a bunch of cupcakes? Let the kids decorate most of them?
Just think about all the candy and goodies the kids (and adults) can have around Saturday, Oct 25th and then again on Halloween night. Yep, this is starting look like a good idea.

Not talking about lions, but pride in my son. Tater has done great in school. He has gotten 80s and 90s on his spelling and reading comprehension tests (that I didn’t even know he had) and nothing lower than a 97 on his math tests. I still have a hard time realizing how quickly he is growing up. What a great kid.

Well, besides the fact my life never seems to be at an odd hump right now… stress is starting to look like a relief… but since I have become more acceptable of my stress, I won’t be trying any diet pills right now. I have tried them in the past… particularly right before my wedding… Mainly because I do know people that it truly has helped. I don’t seem to be one of those. Instead, I have to accept the insane life I live and start eating right and exercising. I am better at eating right, hence the one pound down. Exercising. Still hasn’t happened. When I get both of them working together, I think we’ll have it made. I’ll let you know if I keep it off…
