That is the question I have today. I have been doing research on the web while coughing, hacking, sniffling and wondering why I ever try to do anything while dealing with a cold… I signed up for payperpost finally and it wants me to put tinyurl in my template. I’m not sure I want to do that. Any thoughts? Do you think it is safe? Has it ever loaded a virus on your machine? Would you continue to come to my site? Let me know.

I did one post for them. Just didn’t come naturally to me, & I didn’t care for it. I don’t read them on others’ sites, but I understand why they’re doing it! Of course I’d keep you on my feed — I just tend to skip the “commercials” that come by on my feeds.
No biggie.
Tinyurl is safe. Have you ever been to their site? Basically it’s a redirect kind of thing; you enter a really loooong url into the box and it spits out a short one for you.
Lots of people use it on the net.
That izea tool kit or tracking stuff… that might slow your site down a mite, though.
I have no clue as to what you’re talking about. Sorry. :S
Jennifer: No problem. I finally was able to get signed up with ppp… and they want you to insert a line of code that has ‘tinyurl’ in it before the . This has been marked as a possible way for viruses to get spread. Not that it has been done, but a possibility. I was wondering what anyone else had found out.
No biggie… I inserted it after some more research. I will just keep an eye on the geek sites to make sure it doesn’t become a problem.
So far I have turned down offers to write posts advertising a product…and I have told each one that I can be bought but not for what they are offering…the best offer so far was 14 dollars a post for an offshore internet gambling site…ain’t no way..I have about 300 hits a day..so I figure each hit ought to be worth a minimum of fifty cents…and ain’t no doubt that if my loyal readers see that I am getting paid to advertise they wouldn’t be loyal anymore…I had rather have my traffic than the money..
Guyk:Everyone still seems to come around so far. I have done about $60 worth of posts this last 4 weeks. While I am learning about the different ones, I am deciding if it is worth it or not. So far, no one has left. If my family or friends (blog friends included) start leaving, the money part stops. Like I can’t see doing anymore Review Me… unless it is something really cool… or socialspark. Nope, doesn’t fit my style. The payu2blog seems to be ok. I use it as ‘post prompts’.
We’ll see how it goes.
tiny urls seem ok. The problem many of us had with PPP was their special codes negatively affected the google page rank. So, at first, with PPP, I had a huge PR, but then because of PPP’s codes, I got slapped down to a zero, which then made me inelligible for most of PPP’s opps. So, I stopped writing for them on Pville, and my PR has slowly climbed, but I’m still only a 2 when I was a 4.
I haven’t had any problems with PU2B. I, too, look at their often ridiculous terms as writing prompts.
