Folks, I’m trying to learn how to use widgets and am playing around with links. They are NOT working quite as I had planned. In fact I somehow erased all my hurricane links. Don’t go there, I was very annoyed. I may end up just getting rid of widgets and hardcoding it all. But that means every time I change to a new ‘theme’ I have to move all that stuff. Unless I can find a way to put it in a separate file. I’m looking… but it is time consuming and I don’t have much time. That and I have to keep giving the wordpress books back to the library. GRIN
If you come to my sight and see links all over and then the next time they are only on the right side… it’s just me. Not you. Please be patient.

It never ceases to amaze me what my children will notice. Tater was running around outside yesterday and ran into the house hollering. I had to come see what he found. Click to enlarge what he found:
My big mouth opened up and mentioned that it was the female that was the larger of the two. He gave me that *blink* and looked at them again. He asked if the smaller one was the one with the tail over the bigger one. I said yes… the male was ‘hugging’ the female. Geeze. What else am I suppose to say?

After getting that call about carpet cleaning last night, it got me to thinking about what I did when I moved. I bought about 2 packages of ‘We Have Moved’ cards to fill out and send to friends. Guess how many got sent? Got a guess? Ok, the answer is ZERO. Why? Because I didn’t want to take the time to fill them out and send them.
What did I find now? People are using Change of Address Cards that you fill out on the web and are really personal business cards. What a great idea. From Vista Print it costs about $6 for 25 cards and then a little for shipping… it comes to you ready to be sent out. They give you some other great ideas… like if you are hosting a huge party, they can print them out like Table Cards. Very cool.
They have great help… easy to find stuff. I freaked when I went to ‘Select a Country’ tab and it actually changed the text on the page to that country’s language. Even the text on the business cards changed. I selected Deutschland and the Merry Christmas changed to Frohe Weihnachten on the cards. Awesome. It got me sidetracked at looking at how much their Christmas cards are … and it is a decent price. Particularly since they are on sale right now. I have gotten … uhhh… lazy as I have gotten older and have a tendency to send out those cards with pictures of the family on them and a saying. As of today, they are about 40cents at Vista Print… not a bad deal at all.
I also love sites with easy access to order tracking. Yep, a tab at the top made my day. Added that there is an 800 number for customer service… Christmas is just around the corner. Got to start getting my act together. Hmmmm…

I have seriously considered having a class of wine at the end of the day. It might give me a better attitude than what I have had lately. But then I might end up in alcohol rehab with someone that would recognize me… and that might prevent me from becoming President one day. Ok, I have enough in my life to keep me from being President that being recognized won’t be the problem… Or they might try to send me to a drug treatment center instead. Chocolate is a drug… right?
I know what my problem is and it is not alcohol right now. It is eating too much junk food when I am stressed. Which is why I am over 35 pounds overweight. Not a pretty site on a 5′ 1″ frame. And alcohol has calories. If I add that, then I will never see my feet again!
Yaa, I’m stressed. Can’t you tell? 3 pieces of Ghiradelli brownie just didn’t fix it today. Sigh.
