Any ideas on how to make writing and language arts fun for my son? I just spent over an hour getting him to put his 15 spelling words in alphabetical order and write them down. Don’t ask about the rest… I am very frustrated right now. It is homework. I start it on the weekend for this very purpose. I offered him good points for doing it without whining and then threatened to take away the wii and computer (that got some result but it didn’t last)… I just can’t figure it out. Once he gets started he gets done in 15 minutes… instead… 2 hours of this… having another kidney stone would be more enjoyable… at least I don’t have to face it again the next day… yep, we have 4 more pages of work to do tomorrow. Shoot me now.
I couldn’t resist… remember I posted about license plates in England? Well I read about some more. They actually have “cherished” websites on… you guessed it on cherished number plates. License plates that is. I had to look it up. It didn’t make sense to me Does now… it is basically what we call ‘personalized license plates’. It’s fun to go look at the ‘Names’ link on the right hand side of the link above and see how close they match the names. Particularly since they are limited to where the numbers and letters can be placed. This site also has a tab to go to if you want to sell a plate or a tab for contact. I like the contact tab because it has address, phone numbers and an email if you want to find out more information. There is information on if you want to sell a plate, buy a plate, the laws and a decent FAQ.
I like sites that are easy to find information… which is why I enjoy this one. Yaa, it’s Saturday and I’m having fun.

I would love to win a new bedroom set for Tot. I found out about this contest over at What’s That Smell… the contest rules are found HERE at 5 Minutes for Mom. Yaa… I’m getting into reading mommy blogs, so shoot me. But this contest allows me to post a cute picture of Tater and Tot and have a chance at winning a bedroom.
I had to ‘black out’ Tot’s rear-end. It is a cutie, but not really appropriate for the internet. Click to enlarge the sleeping beauty… he got the night shirt on… just couldn’t quite make it into the underwear.

And if that isn’t cute enough… Tater is so exhausted after the first week of school, when I went to take him to Karate… he fell asleep on the way… I had the camera to take pictures of them practicing, but stopped at a stop light, I couldn’t resist:

It is amazing how cute the kids are when they are sleeping… Probably all a matter of perspective. But Tot would be even cuter if he had Summer Breeze bedroom set. It would go to Tot…. he is using his Dad’s old set. Really old set. While Tater got a nice set when he was born… the kind where part of the crib turned into the headboard, the bureau matched but was perfect for when they got older. Then again, I was working while pregnant with Tater… made a huge difference. Tot gets all the handme downs!
