Someone just mentioned to me that they were headed down to Key West FL! I remember how much fun I had with my husband when we went down there… before children. I was thinking about the fact they were taking their kids to Key West. Would I take my kids down there? When they get a little older, I certainly would. Both are getting be great swimmers… and there is great snorkling down there.
I also remember when hubby and I went biking around the area. It was beautiful. I remember the Hemmingway House and the Audubon House. We didn’t make it to the Aquarium but if we went with the kids, I’m sure that would be a place for us to stop. Or maybe an Eco-Tour or a glass bottom boat tour. I would enjoy it. I love that kind of stuff. There are so many different types of plants, birds and fish in South Florida. Yep… I point that stuff out to my kids all the time. It would be even better if I was on a Key West Vacation!
Besides, I have a picture of me and hubby by the Old Buoy Used as Marker for the Furthest Point South in the United States… wouldn’t it be great to get it with the whole family? Ok Ok… I just needed to think of something fun today. And this just hit the spot. Again… I’ll probably wait until the boys are a little older… but being nearby… no plane trip, just a car ride… definitely on my agenda.

There is so much going on in this world… but some days the clouds are just beautiful…

At 8:30pm last night, Tot was running 103.6F… a tepid shower and some motrin… by 9:30pm he was at 100F. At 2am it went back to 102F and was climbing. I got it under control but was up til 4:30am doing it. While I love looking up at the clouds… I could do without high temperatures. Asthma and high fevers just do not go well together. But thanks to nebulizers, and a semi-working brain… I have more to be thankful for every day.

There are times when I seriously consider running some Cat6 throughout the house. For those who think of cats, this is not cats… this is category 6 wiring usually used for ethernet wiring to your computer. It is something I did before children. Now I have hooked up a wireless system in my house. Normally this is not a problem… until it rains… Like the last couple of days. Then my cheap little wireless wire goes out to lunch. I had a nice one that didn’t have problems until Florida Power and Light decided to do a couple of power cycles in a short period of time… and NO I did not have my router on UPS. Sigh.. I need the rain, but it drives me nuts to have to wait 30 minutes and then power cycle my router. Hard wiring would fix this problem along with an awesome Cisco router but I don’t have the money nor the time to do it… One day…
