Yep, was at Urgent Care last night… with Tot. He complained about 2pm that his left ear was ‘cold’. Huh? If I remember the conversation it went sorta like this:
Tot: Mom, my ear is cold.
Mom: Which ear?
Tot: This one (pointing to left ear)
Mom: Does it hurt?
Tot: Nooooooo, it’s cold.
Mom: Is it cold on the inside of the ear?
Tot: No
It gets dropped. Around 7pm last night…
Tot: Mom, my ear hurts.
Mom: What??? Which ear?
Tot: This one (pointing to the left ear)
Mom: Where on the ear does it hurt?
Tot: Here (Points to the inside of the left ear)
Mom: Sigh
I called Urgent Care to see if they took young kids. They said yes. Off we went. It was cleaner and nicer than ER. Turns out Tot does have an infection in his left ear. Toad. While we were there, I had them check my ear as well… it has been bothering me for a couple of days… I have an infection as well. Sigh. Though mine is in the lymph node below the ear. Life is always entertaining… I hope next year is less so. GRIN
