Both boys had projects last week for the 100th day of school. Tot just had to bring in a 100 items, Tater had to make something. Yaa -NOT… that didn’t work out right. Tot wanted to make something as well. I gave them two choices. Necklaces or decorate some wooden frames I had. Here is the first stab at it:
When Tater realized it was soooo much easier decorating the frame… that was the end of the necklace. Here are the finished projects:
I added some class pictures to the frames and sent them in with the kids. They are now proudly displayed back in their bedrooms. I wonder if teachers realize the torture they can put parents through? hahahaha. I hear it only gets harder. Guess I ought to be happy they are two grades apart for school even if only 15 months apart in age.

I’m betting I’m the only dork who actually counted all the stuff your kids glued onto those frames. The googly eyes cracked me up…
I hated the 100 day thing. Good Lord. they had to get 100 signatures, not so bad, but the bringing in 100 things? We did pennies one year… paper clips another. Bones… he may have done 100 grains of sand. By then I was so done with it. I hate Johnny Appleseed to, btw.
Could you see the stuff on the side? Tater just couldn’t resist putting stuff down the side of it. Drove me nuts.
Tot went crazy over the eyes. I brought them out because they were in the rest of the container.
I threatened to put glue on the frames and just pour rice on it. I doubt the teachers counted that stuff…
I had to count the stuff on the side or Tater was 10 short.
I feel ashamed to admit that…
94 on top, 5 on one side, 1 on another. Count again! Don’t forget he has ‘eyes’ on his as well. Ugh.
I think I double counted!!
