arse… AT&T sure knows how to make a buck. I just wanted to get rid our of TracFone because I never remembered to keep it full of minutes… and then we would lose what I had bought and not used and and and… I was spending about $100 a year on it. That and I always seemed to be somewhere noisy when I needed to renew it and had to shout to have my visa number heard. Did n.o.t. like that option. Sooooo… I thought I would add a second phone to my AT&T plan. Uhhh… aren’t the commercials touting how you can add a line for $9.95? Yaaa, not the truth folks. I either pay a whole lot more to keep the number of minutes I have or pay just a little more and lose a lot of the minutes both rollovers and how much I’m getting. Also, you can ONLY share minutes. If you want to share messaging or data… not gonna happen… wait wait.. .I take the back… you can share messaging if you want to pay $25 more than I’m paying NOW.
Yep, AT&T knows how to make money… but it sure pisses me off.
I’d love to ditch my cell just because of the obscene fees and taxes! We have Verizon and hubby just HAD to get a Blackberry last year. That’s automatically 30. more a month! Plus he put GPS nav on it for another 10.
Now I’d really love to get rid of my cell, but I think cable TV is what will go.
It’s a balancing act, isn’t it??
I am with Verizon..have been for a couple of years. I got a Verizon wireless card..I can get laptop connection damn near anywhere and later I added a phone to the bill.
I think all of the companies are alike in that they will rip you if they can. All I wanted was a bare phone service..last month for example I used it for a total of thirteen damn minutes…and I have not used the wireless connection for the laptopn in over four months…and I pay 117 bucks a month for this? Contrcat is up in Spetember and I am gonna have 117 dollars more a month to spend on ammo
I have a 900 month plan that I usually stay under and have about 2000 ‘rollover’ minutes that get used up during holidays and the like. I also have internet and 200 ‘messages’ I can send. I wanted to add a phone and have my hubby ‘share’ this stuff. I think I send 6 to 15 messages a month from my phone – it’s a pain to type on it so I usually wait til I get home and send from my pc but the cheapest plan was 200 msgs and it was cheaper than me paying per msg. any ways… I kept seeing those ads to add a phone for $9.95… yaa, not gonna happen yet. He only shares my minutes AND I have to go to a family plan which is only 700 minutes a month to keep the same price… sigh… he needs a phone if I can just figure out how to do it…
