The Start of a Story
Mamaw came to visit. I had a list of things I wanted to get done while she was here. As usual, we got the most important things done and she still had time with the grandkids!
Some of the most important items required sewing… which is not my best ability… but is certainly my mom’s. I wanted seat covers for my dining room chairs. They looked horrible with the food and mess on them, and I just couldn’t keep up in cleaning them. She made a pattern, came up with ways to easily put them on and take them off and blamo… she was off and running… take a look at her go!
While this was happening, she still found time to play Pokemon with the boys, work on homework and science experiments, supervise my planting, do laundry and make dinner. The woman is awesome. There is more of this story coming to you in bits and pieces…
But one of my favorite quotes she told me about was when Tater was taking her picture… I believe he said something like “I want to take a picture of you so I have it when you are dead.” Geeze… it runs in the family… I said something similar when I was younger… but I think it was on the lines of leave me your house when you die.
