Seeing that my boys are both attending the same school this year… I volunteered to do something extra. Like put together the yearbook. NOT sales or distribution. Just put it together. That also means that I have to come up with a ‘theme’ for the yearbook. I have thought of the obvious… beaches and the like. I would like to do something different. That requires me to ask others what they think would make a cool yearbook theme for Kindergarten to Second grade.
Something young kids would enjoy seeing as well as the adults … ie not Lots of Crazy Colors that make it hard to read and see the pictures – though the kids would like it at the age of 7, not so much as adults.
What do you think? What theme can I use through-out the yearbook? Any ideas?
flowers? fish? animals? books? (traditional grade school graphics)
What is the school mascot and school colors?
A theme should be relevant to the students and your school. Ask your yearbook staff to brainstorm the following questions:
What makes your school unique?
How is this year different from any other year?
How are community or world events impacting the students in your school?
What characteristics best describe student life today?

In honor of Teddy: Camelot.
Thanks Marie, Pam and Rave. Cool link Rave. They did the school mascot last year. Ugh. Silver and Blue are the school colors. Yaa… not a lot to go on…
I think anything to do with bodily fluids will work for the boys. Or bodily excrements. Gas, poop, snot, spit. It could be a full body experience for the student body!
