One Thing After Another

It seems I’m getting pimples again as I get older. Not only that. I found a blackhead. It has been FOREVER since I have found one of those. Or maybe I just never looked in years. Then again, it is only recently that I started wearing glasses year round. I am use to my ‘progressive’ glasses now. Bifocals… yep… that’s me. Getting older and older. My memory is going as well. Do you remember how to get rid of blackheads? I know that you are NOT suppose to squeeze them. It is suppose to damage the skin or some such thing. But I swear that is how I would get rid of them when I was younger. Then again, I’ll probably just scrub it with soap until it goes away. Pimples, blackheads, kidneys, eyes, and all the rest of it. No wonder older people talk about health… you are constantly having to deal with it! Ugh.

Oh… did I mention CHIN HAIR. One lousy, pain in the rear hair. I would be so happy if my body would quit showing me just how old it is. ;-) Geeze, loquacious tonight I am (seen too much pokemon and starwars lately as well)…

Spar Equipment

We have succeeded in getting the Karate Spar Equipment for the boys. Heck, I woke up the other morning and they had put it on over their pajamas. This was the first day we got it:

Money – what’s that?

As forever and a day… I am always messing with the budget. I was in tears over it yesterday. We had a lot of heavy items hit all within two weeks of each other. Looks like some of my old budgeting tips from way back are going to come to be used again big time. Like pulling out cash for groceries… when it is gone, no more groceries. Pulling out money for gas. When it is gone, no more gas until the next pay period… amazing how when you know you will be out of money you find ways to save on these things. I guess I will break down and learn how to use all the parts and pieces to Quicken. Have used it for years just to have as a backup to the written register… now I think I will start reading up on the budget option it has. Might be faster than doing it by hand. Library is in the future to see if they have books on Quicken. Sigh. What is that song?

Where oh where has my money gone? Where oh where can it be?…

The Weight stays off

Even with guests here, the weight stayed off. Hey, five pounds is five pounds. Didn’t loose any more, but it stayed off. Then when I walked through CVS to get the ‘automatic’ refill medicine I saw a stand of alli diet pills. Now folks, I am all over losing weight. I want to look as good as I can the older I get. I just keep wishing those things really worked. Oh don’t get me wrong, I’m sure they work as long as you take them. That’s the catch… you’ll have to take them for the rest of your life. No thank you. I’m already on medicine I will be taking the rest of my life. Why force myself into something else? Nope, not going to do it. Like with any ‘diet’… if it works, you need to make it a life long commitment… wellllllll unless you are only taking it off for a special occasion and then don’t care if it comes right back. Sigh. 25 more pounds to go. Seems like forever to get there.
