Sigh. My house is full of stuff I don’t really need. I am actually ready to get rid of it. But I don’t know how. A lot of it is too bulky to ship, so I don’t want to sell it on ebay. Craig’s list is an idea but I don’t want to have to take pictures of every single item and write up on them. A few… sure… but I’m talking a load of stuff. I have thought of getting Cheap Moving Boxes. I even went as far to check out the website of saveologymoving.com and see what they had to say about packing stuff away. They had quite a selection of tips on moving. And I was impressed by what they told you about packing to store your stuff in a storage place. I never thought about making sure my boxes were away from the walls so that there would be better air flow. That would be true in my garage as well. Trust me, it is stacked right next to the walls and I can see how I’m going to regret that in the future if I don’t fix it. With Florida heat and humidity… yaaa… I think I see some changes going on in the garage in my future.
Something I had not thought about but will be put away for future use is Portable Moving containers. It talks about how it cost more than a moving truck but less than a moving company. The big pro is that you can pack it slowly over days and make sure everything is secure, marked and mapped out for your unpacking needs. Not that I plan on moving anytime soon. Just couldn’t help but notice it as I was reading through some of the stuff.
Sigh… I think a yard sale would be the best option but my hubby does not like the idea of a bunch of strangers traipsing through our yard. I can’t blame him. Wonder if I can convince a neighbor to have a yard sale and I’ll add my stuff to it so we can have a ‘multi-family’ one. Must think this one through… need to get rid of this stuff and it would be nice if I could get some money for it.

A friend of mind from Pensacola sent me this email:
Click on this video to see the oily mess that is hitting our beaches today. Pensacola Beach is closed to swimmers. We may have enjoyed our last clean water and beaches for a while–especially if that tropical gets in the gulf. -K

An estimated four busloads of BP workers descended on Casino Beach this morning in an attempted to clean a large amount of oil washing ashore on Pensacola Beach.
“This is one of the worst things I’ve ever seen; this is totally devastating,” said Gary de Shazo, pointing at a 10-foot-long wave of oil approaching the white sands of Casino Beach. “I never imagined it would be like this.”
Shazo was among the hundreds who flocked to Pensacola Beach this morning to see what was described by witnesses as the worst oil impact Pensacola Beach has seen.
Slicks of oil 10 feet long and four feet wide washed ashore hear the fishing pier.
Santa Rosa County Island Authority Public Safety Director Bob West advised the public to stay out of the water and away from the shoreline and to not impede the BP workers on the beach.

This heat is wiping my butt out big time. Along with a sinus/ear infection, my asthma seems to be acting up. I sound horrible. I tried to do 15 minutes of the wii fit and had to have my son go get the inhaler. I am serious considering getting an evergo oxygen concentrator to carry around. Oxygen directly into the lungs… yaa, I could handle that.
Why this sudden need to breath? Because I’m pissed. I lost 6 pounds at the beginning of the year and pretty much kept it off. I was slowly working on the rest… 5 months work.. lost. Summer hit, all the stuff with dysgraphia and other issues… I started snacking BIG TIME. Oh, and I lost the time I use to go biking because the kids can’t keep up with me.
Hence I started the wii. Though that is entertaining as my youngest likes to ‘run’, do step ‘aerobics’ and all the other exercises right beside me. Like velcro. Which makes it hard to do the stuff. Sigh. It’s really my only choice right now. Just need to remember to take the inhaler BEFORE starting. I thought I was going to cough up a lunch. Ugh.
