Tick, Tick, Tick

Wow, the time is ticking away. The latest is my oldest has an attitude when he talks to me. Even though we have gone through the time outs, taking away electronics, and finally getting ‘the belt’ if he doesn’t stop. The last one stops him for the day. Then I’ll be darn if it doesn’t come right back. I try playing with him, doing stuff he likes, and praising him when he says things nicely. Sigh. Children. Hope this is just a phase… because I noticed one of his friends doing the same thing to his mom. And they are a lot stricter than I am!

The youngest is on another one of his kicks. In his prayers he has been asking God to not let there be volcanoes in Florida, not to let there be hurricanes, tornadoes, and typhoons in Florida, not to have floods in Florida, to keep the sun going with helium, and everyone healthy… he has now added to let all homeless people have homes. Which caused us to have a 30 minute discussion at 9pm at night when he should have already been asleep. By the time that kid is 10, it will take hours for him to say his prayers because of all the stuff he adds month by month. I love the fact it causes discussions and interesting issues to come to the surface, but geeze… at 8pm at night… I wish he would do this during the day versus mulling it over all day and then blurting it out at night.

Another day, another experience. At least I got this from TUT:

Did you know, vw, that God prefers to go barefoot, laughs a lot, and is always happy?
Loves orange, wears blue jeans, and has read every book ever written?
Skips stones, plays in the rain, and rocks out?
Remembers birthdays, forgets arguments, and every day visualizes you smiling even more?
And at this very moment, is accepting applications from those who wish to make a whopping difference.
Approved! Approved! Approved!
The Universe

If you do not subscribe to TUT… you should. This is NOT a paid link… they probably won’t even notice I do link to them. But their are mornings when I get there notes that I can’t help but smile and remember that I’m happy to be alive with my family.
