One Happy Dog Speaks

when looking for clothes and under garmets, I ran into cheap maternity clothes. Sigh. Not a big deal since I’m past that stage. Still… it brought back memories. And then I saw pictures of my kids as babies. More memories. Wow. We have come so far from walking to camping. It amazes me every day how blessed I am. What a great set of kids and what a wonderful experience they are bringing to my life. Yaa… it’s going to be a good weekend.

I’m working on something for my hubby. It requires some sexy clothes and a lot of self confidence. Because I don’t have a hot bod. I am 30 pounds overweight and on a short person… yaa it doesn’t look good… lots of rolls. Don’t get me wrong, I’m working on it. But it is a slow process. Sigh.

Seems like it might be cheaper for my oldest to save for a new black berry tablet than for one of the i things. Looks like they are all started to blend in my eyes. As long as it plays the games he likes, why not? It is amazing to me what is out there. In only 10 years, they have made leaps and bounds. I can’t wait to see what we will have when my kids are 20!

I never heard of it before… until I read the about it in the belt loop opportunities. Ultimate Disc. It is frisbee golf. Or that is what I would call it. You take frisbees and try to throw them into these special containers up off the ground. I have been trying to come up with some way to make those containers. I think the boys would love it. Another project to add to my list.

Seems like we have a busy weekend coming up. I wish I had some trade show displays to bring with me. It would help with map and compass to have a display. It would be nice to put up for marbles and table tennis. A huge display sitting by the stuff with what is necessary to get the belt loops. Easy to read and up high. Might be targets for the table tennis balls, but maybe not. Hmmmm… the ideas I could run with this.

My sister and I are trying to do genealogy research. My family sucks in the past. They named everyone the same f’n name. On 3 different lines… ARGH. Still, we are slowly but surely going through the steps. She is hoping to make a run to Mississippi to see what can be found in the libraries and cemeteries… I have another friend willing to help us on another line where there are a couple of men with the same first name born about the same time in the same f’n town. ARGH. Ok, I think I’ll see if I can find something better to post about.

Yep… in more ways than one. Hubby and I put the topper on tonight. So I can get it packed tomorrow. I wonder if I should buy some auto shop software to start figuring out exactly what I need and when and how much. I now have bike racks, a topper and a new car… that required a lot of extras because it is not big enough for my boys activities. Still cheaper than buying a mini-van. Sad but true. I keep wondering if I should see about getting a hitch!

Yep, the youngest had the chance to run and have fun as well. He took a lot of water breaks… but look how tired he gets. It was sooo humid outside.

I’m proud of both my boys. This one did 40 laps. It was worth being there for them.

Ok, I was looking around for some clothes for me. Guess what I found? Yep a garter. I thought how cool would that be??? Then I remembered I don’t wear dresses any more. No way am I wearing a dress to work. Half the time I am under a desk rewiring a computer. Not the best kind of clothes for that kind of work. Jeans and dress shirt are just fine. When sitting I look professional but when sitting under a desk I don’t care if my pants get filthy from the dirt. Then again, I could just buy them for ‘around the house’ when the kids are not there.

The schools my boys attend utilize a company called ‘Boosterthon’ to raise money. I must say I like it better than gift wrap. The boys ask for pledges. Flat rate or per lap. We all learned after the first year to make it a flat rate. It is amazing how far these boys can run! Here are some pictures I took of my oldest having fun… they don’t just run by the way. They are suppose to play air guitar one lap, do chicken wings one lap, walk a lap, and a lot of other things…. along with running! My oldest did 39 laps… 16 laps is a mile… YAAA
