Man oh man… My brain is going to explode. I had to work Saturday and Sunday at my techie job, come home and work with the kids on homework… did I mention I had to be home EARLY in the morning so my hubby could take off to go to work? … I found some software that I thought would be EASY to install to keep my son from going places he shouldn’t and … it didn’t work. My website was down for the weekend. LONG story that I’m not going to talk about here. I need a couple of cheap copies of Win 7 so I can upgrade my kids machines from Win XP x64 to something that software will actually run on… Ugh… I’m trying to learn to relax… yaa that meditation just isn’t working right now.

Set up Opendns.com to keep your son off sites you don’t want him visiting. He can’t get round it because it’s done at the DNS level and not on your computer. Seriously this is the way to do it. You’ll have to create an account and download a little software, but it works very well. Then, so long as your son does not figure out the password for your opendns account, he won’t be able to change a thing. Not only that, but none of his friends would be able to bring in their own computer, hook up to your network and get round it either. (unless they hard coded the DNS – which I’m gonna doubt big time… LOL)
