Dear old golden rule days
Readin’ and ‘ritin’ and ‘rithmetic
Taught to the tune of the hickory stick…

There is a lot more to that song… but most everyone seems to remember that piece. Today is the first day of school for my boys. Been a rather busy weekend and today is no exception. Let’s hope the routine kicks in and we all relax more!

    When we were a couple of kids’

    I recalled at least that much, lol! I remember my grandfather singing that as he worked in the kitchen.

    And we only had one week of school before Isaac came in and stopped it. So just as the kids had the rules and routines down…BAMMMM! We get to start all over again. *sigh* Probably won’t go back till Thursday.
