One Happy Dog Speaks

I was looking through different stuff on the web and items I have been sent. I saw wrought iron candle sconces and thought that would be a cool gift for my sister. Her birthday is tomorrow… I think. It might have been today. I can’t ever get it straight. No joke. She loves candles and the like. Then again, you ought to see her house at Halloween. Scary. Yes, candles make me think of Halloween… even though you would think it would make me think of romance. Must be my sister’s influence.

Why am I so confused about what day is what? Most of my attention has been on my kids starting school this week. Yet, one sister is going in for surgery tomorrow, the other is out of town and getting a year older, and all of this keeps me one brain cell short. I just hope that I remember to call everyone and give out the right wishes. Phew… Now to go find some humor for tomorrow’s post…

Today my sister was born. This is not Tink, but the one Tink refers to as ddpups. ddpups has always had dogs around. I took some pictures of her babies over Christmas and here they are:

and being the good picture hounds they are… they couldn’t resist getting into a family picture of me, mamaw, hubby and my boys!

Wow. My blogless sister, aka ddpup, is getting another year older today. She is a dog lover with the cutest, best behaved puppies around. Just look at this face:

I mailed your card yesterday… so it’ll be a few days late. I hope you don’t mind the silly thing… it had dogs on it! And the fact that I’m announcing your birthday to the internet world… I just couldn’t resist. You have done a lot for me over the years… like taking care of my finances while I galavanted all over the world, helping me put in a window in my house, and change all the plug covers. Ahhh the list could go on and on.

I know we don’t talk much, but I do think of you often. **hugs** and I hope you have a wonderful birthday.

My sister’s house, ddpup’s, should be in a magazine. I was just learning to use my camera and it was on the worst possible setting for picture taking. Still, you can get the idea of how great her house looked for the holidays:
