Seems we had a sighting of Rudolf in our house last night. I never realized how cute Rudolf could be (click to enlarge):

You have to admit… that is one cute reindeer.

Sigh. How do you deal with a son being picked on while on the bus? Sad to say, I can totally see how it happened. Just not sure what to do about it. My youngest kissed a girl while ON the bus. Yaa… my first grader. And the older kids just let loose about it. The driver was nice and stopped it or said she would kick them off the bus if they didn’t stop. Yet, I had to deal with a very sad, crying boy. Who never wants to kiss another girl again. Uhhh… yaa… I don’t believe that one. Still. It really hurt him. I held him. I really don’t know what to tell him, other than he isn’t suppose to be kissing girls yet. Sigh… I had such a nice day. Had being the operative word. It went downhill from the time they got off the bus. Another day tomorrow and hopefully life will start the upswing.

Happy Birthday to my youngest child. Soon he will be a padawan and then a Jedi knight. Life goes by quickly.

Ok, I have to publish this. I laughed so hard yesterday. My youngest had to write four sentences using his vocabulary words. He chose burst, neighbor, gently and drifts. Just to remind my family, this is the 6 year old… oh and did I mention he was pissed at me because I was making him do his homework? So very funny…
1. Mommy’s ugly face burst open wide so I can see her brain.
2. My neighbor tooted very loud, I could hear it.
3. Mommy gently put a bomb into the attic.
4. Mommy’s socks drifted in the air into the attic.
I kept wondering if my socks set off the bomb… baw hahahaha I wish I could see the teacher’s face when she reads these sentences. She has daughters… but has taught for years so I’m sure is use to the boys. Still… he is one funny kid!

For you who don’t watch the Discovery Channel, there is a show called Man vs. Wild on it. It stars a man named Bear Grylls. My boys love this show. He goes to different places and shows you how to survive. Eating half rotten eggs, live bugs, caught and cooked snakes… ugh. You name it. Well, they decided to act out one of his adventures in our own back yard… since they couldn’t join him, they would do their own show. It starts with a mud pit in my yard under some trees:
Now there is exploring to be done:
Wait, the shorts are soaking wet. We must remove them to dry. And since mom is ‘filming’ a little acting should occur:
Ok, totally soaked. Strip down. But to keep the bugs away, mud is the best option:
Must not forget your backs! Good thing you have a brother handy to help out:
More exploring to be done:
EWWWWWWWWWWW a mealworm was found and must be removed. Certainly not going to eat it! Tossed out of the muddy water so the play can continue:
Ahhh the fun of a warm weekend with rainfall the night before. Bear Grylls move over, you have some competition on the way!

Youngest: Mom Mom, oldest’s animals got married and had a baby (the oldest is playing his ds)
Mom: Cool
Off Mom goes to get laundry started… as I walk by I hear the youngest talking to the oldest.
Youngest: The boy has to get on top of the girl or the girl has to get on top of the boy to have babies.
Youngest: See there is another baby.
Yaa, I took off to find out what was going on … It is sims animals. And they have to have 3 plus signs over the top of each them to get a heart and then when both have hearts, they can have babies. Only the girl has the babies is what I was told as I sat over there finding out how the game worked. Phew. What a way to start the morning.
That and working on boy scouts. We have to do Fire drills, read about famous religious people, and cook together. It’s going to be a busy busy day.

On Saturday we went to our first karate tournament. It started with the youngest… in the forms. My youngest decided to do the hardest form he knew and had ONLY just learned a couple of weeks ago. I was happy when he got second… out of 11 other kids… some of higher belts! Here take a look!
Next was sparring. Sigh… I forgot to feed the youngest who has hypoglycemia. Yaa, you know where this is going don’t you. Here he is getting ready to spar:
He placed 4th out of 7. He had a complete meltdown. It took me over 30 minutes to figure out what was the problem. Ugh. I was too wrapped up in the tournament and all our friends who were in it. Live and learn. I’m sure he will do better next time.
Now for the oldest. His division was next. He had forms first. In the 7 to 10 year old group. He placed 4th out of 11. Here he is introducing himself:
He also sparred. He placed 2nd out of 10. Here he is with his 2nd place medal!
Yep, the boys loved it. Even the youngest said he wanted to do it again. And he promised not to have ‘a meltdown’. Yaa. He’ll need help on that one. The oldest was a GREAT sport. Congratulating everyone. I’m very proud of both kids! And the dojo! Everyone from our dojo got a trophy or medal (trophy was 1st, medal for 2nd and 3rd). What a great Saturday!

What an easter! We had a blast. The kids are riding bikes without training wheels and we can now bike easily as a family. I love biking. When we got home, the youngest went for the chocolate bunny finally. The conversation went something like this as he looked at the wrapper:
Tot: Mom, would you open this for me?
Mom: Sure.
Tot: Hey look it’s solid!
Mom: *blink*
Tot: Not a liquid or a gas! **outbreak of laughter**
Mom: *blink* *giggle giggle*

We have succeeded in getting the Karate Spar Equipment for the boys. Heck, I woke up the other morning and they had put it on over their pajamas. This was the first day we got it:
And now for the older one:
Looking tough!

Yes, yes… I know it is a ‘Hallmark Holiday’ and I don’t care. It is fun making cards with the kids and giving extra hugs… and then there is the comments they make that are so unexpected. Sorta like my youngest at Karate yesterday. Sensei M starts the questioning with my youngest child…
Sensei M: YoungOne, who is the most important person in your life?
YoungOne (Tot): Mom… **slight pause here** because she is the oldest in our family
Total outbreak of laughter from all the parents. Yaa, he just had to ask my youngest first. The rest of the kids behaved and just said Mom or Mom and Dad… Stinker… Good thing he is so cute! It will be a valentine to remember. Though Sensei M was great in that he told the kids, which are all boys right now, to let their mom’s sleep in and give them a kiss after they woke up. Gotta love our dojo!
