I must be more worried about my weight than I thought. I’m actually following stuff on the web about Acai and reading it. I just saw some new thing… nuphedragen and went to read it. I think it was this last one that made me stop and go “Whoa!”. If my weight is that important, then I need to eat better and cut out all sweets. Suddenly… I quit looking at all the stuff, laughed and went and found some chocolate. Yep. I want to be in shape, not sickly skinny with the shakes. Hmmm .. . reminds me of a chihuahua I saw recently!

Four Boys? Four?
My youngest had a great idea. Two more brothers. That way he and his brother had other brothers to play with besides each other. WHAT? Yaa, being at home together a lot has caused some major differences to occur. Enough to make us all crazy! Then I imagine what it would be like with 2 more. Egads! Run away!
We talked about if I had more kids now that they would be babies… and not really the right age to play with like the two of them. And of course once you start down a road you see all sorts of stuff. I got an email from Babies ‘R Us on discounted diapers, and I saw the new Bob revolution strollers, and if that wasn’t enough I saw some of my boys old baby stuff still in the garage. Run… Run Away!
Yaa… four boys. I don’t mind it when it’s friends’ kids that come to visit and I can give them back… not sure I want 2 more to raise 24×7. Phew….
Insane Moments
I have decided I need to be healthier. Which sucks during the holidays and summer. Not that I need to come up with the best fat burners because I’m not necessarily trying to lose weight… I’m trying to be healthy. Which means I want stronger muscles, endurance and if possible weight loss. It hit me that my kids will soon be teenagers and I won’t be able to keep up with them. Wrong answer. I have been whining that I lost weight and had better endurance while they were at school because I could go bike riding three times a week and haven’t since school ended. Oh I can hear the responses now… but just give me a minute… Even though I desperately need sleep, I have set the alarm for 6am. I am getting up and going on the bike ride BEFORE my husband goes to work.
I cannot understand how people do this. It SUCKS. The bugs, the humidity, the cars who have drivers not awake, the dogs… THIS SUCKS. Will I continue to do it. Yaa… I need the muscles and endurance. I can’t run. Between the sprained/broken ankles and the horse kicked knee and the horse landed on knee… my ankles and knees aren’t up for running. Biking is ok. Not as much impact on them. I love to bike… usually. This early morning stuff.
And swimming. I hate it. The water and I are not friends. Do I go for my kids and smile? Yes. Do I still hate it? Yes. I have skin issues and water on the outside of me dries my skin out no matter how much of that nasty water I drink to get on the inside of me. Add chemicals and it sucks even more. Better yet… Sand and Salt.
Now my youngest wants to run. I won’t say no… but I hope dad picks up the slack and runs with him. Dad is a great runner… me… it just hurts. Wish me luck and add a prayer that I can keep it up even when it sucks.
Our table is set and we are ready to enjoy being an American for another day.
Independence Day honors the birthday of the United States of America and the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4… It has been a long haul to get to this point and I’m sure it will be even harder as the years progress. May we have another 234 years of independence.
Monthly Duties
One of the problems with being the ’stay at home’ mom is that I have to try and remember all the things that need to be done to maintain the house. I change air filters about once a month, regenerate the water well system once a month, and a ton of other “to do’s”… I was thinking I’m glad I don’t live where it snows because of all the other things I would have to add to this list like changing furnace filters, chopping wood, airing out the winter clothes. Ugh.
I was thinking the other day that I stopped writing all this stuff down on the calendar and now I’m screwed up. It is amazing the stuff you let go during the summer… Another day, another thing to check to see if I have done it lately… like go shopping for more bottled water since it is hurricane season. Yep, off to Costco to get tons of water. I had some but the boys seem to keep drinking it. Might have something to do with ease of reach and the f’in heat we have had.
Looks like we are going to a wedding in July. More as the details become available. I’m sure the adventure to get the boys clothes will be blog fodder. Or the fact I need to go this week to get the mohawks cleaned up.

Karate demo will be given by our dojo and the boys are a part of it. The oldest is doing a form by himself and the youngest is showing a break away move if someone grabs you. The two of them are part of a team that will be doing a synchronized form.

When did it get to be so close to July 4th? I still need to buy food for that day!

Class has slowly gotten easier and less stuff as the weeks go by. Writing in handwriting without tears and typing are always done. Story writing and math… not so much.

Insurance sucks for disorders. They will give my son 60 days of occupational therapy for his ‘disorder’. Though this is a lifetime issue… one the time ticks, you get what you get and at the end… NO MORE. It’s not a frickn’ broken arm folks. And what he needs will change as he gets older. The insurance told me “Too bad” try to get state help. I did, and that is for another post.

I think they both grew again. I need to measure and get it out here. No joke.
All for now…
Something Pretty
Farmville on my phone
Phew… the things that happen when you have family that is observant. My sister noticed you could get a cool tree if you had an iphone. I had to try. Yaa, I have a cheap iphone… the one that doesn’t do video and all that stuff. But it was cheap and I couldn’t resist. Then I discovered a couple of things. One was that AT&T did not offer insurance. Oh you can get iphone insurance but not through AT&T.
Next was the apps you could get for it. Crazy birds… oh my… that is so addictive. Then when Tink called and told me I could get a farmville app. Life was good. Oh, until I tried to play it. Ugh. Took forever. Then need to do something about it being a mobile phone and the graphics. Got one tree and was done. Wasn’t even going to try for a second. Sigh… I’m an electronic junkie!
Summer Experiments
Geeze, I have been lax in posting our summer experiments. We had a big on on origami. Another one with magnets. The latest has been fossils. Click to enlarge.
The dinosaur is still not completely dried after 1 full day. I hope it is ‘ready’ tomorrow or the boys might go nuts. While the youngest covered a dinosaur… the oldest did this one:
Any ideas what it could be? I’ll put the answer in the comments later in the day.
Yep, life is always busy here. I hope it settles down a little before the school year starts!
Sigh. My house is full of stuff I don’t really need. I am actually ready to get rid of it. But I don’t know how. A lot of it is too bulky to ship, so I don’t want to sell it on ebay. Craig’s list is an idea but I don’t want to have to take pictures of every single item and write up on them. A few… sure… but I’m talking a load of stuff. I have thought of getting Cheap Moving Boxes. I even went as far to check out the website of saveologymoving.com and see what they had to say about packing stuff away. They had quite a selection of tips on moving. And I was impressed by what they told you about packing to store your stuff in a storage place. I never thought about making sure my boxes were away from the walls so that there would be better air flow. That would be true in my garage as well. Trust me, it is stacked right next to the walls and I can see how I’m going to regret that in the future if I don’t fix it. With Florida heat and humidity… yaaa… I think I see some changes going on in the garage in my future.
Something I had not thought about but will be put away for future use is Portable Moving containers. It talks about how it cost more than a moving truck but less than a moving company. The big pro is that you can pack it slowly over days and make sure everything is secure, marked and mapped out for your unpacking needs. Not that I plan on moving anytime soon. Just couldn’t help but notice it as I was reading through some of the stuff.
Sigh… I think a yard sale would be the best option but my hubby does not like the idea of a bunch of strangers traipsing through our yard. I can’t blame him. Wonder if I can convince a neighbor to have a yard sale and I’ll add my stuff to it so we can have a ‘multi-family’ one. Must think this one through… need to get rid of this stuff and it would be nice if I could get some money for it.
