Another wet day

My oldest son has stopped swimming. Why? Because it is hard work. D’oh. But today he is suppose to start again. We took away his sweets. It has been a week and he asked if he could swim again. Today is the day. I wonder if he really will swim. Maybe I could send him to get pool supplies at AquaSuperCenter.com instead? Then he could at least be doing something for the pool. Oh wait… he isn’t old enough to drive. ARGH. Just wish me luck that he wants to swim again.

Band Pics

First the picture of the boys before we leave:

Before the band concert started I took this picture… why? Because he is in the VERY BACK. I couldn’t see him once it started so I’m glad I got this one:

I’m so proud of my boy. He is doing excellent.

My Son’s project on Germany

Ok, finally… a picture:

He said the best part was the chocolate he passed out at the end. We found some Milka bars and Kinder candy. Yep… Then again, he actually ate sushi and liked it. Sigh. Do you know how many times I have tried to get my sons to try sushi???? At least he now will eat it with me when we go out!

Hubby is Flying

And I am surprised what an easy week it has turned out to be. The boys only have spelling words to study and a few math pages. That’s it. YES!!!! Considering Thursday is the concert, Friday is the 6am to 7pm Swamp field trip, 9pm we are setting up camp with the Boy scouts for the weekend. Yep, busy busy weekend…

And the countdown begins

Yep… 2 weeks. Only 2 weeks left. This is some wonder if I will get everything done before we leave. Particularly since this week has suddenly become crazy. My son has a field trip on Friday … no biggie… I’m a chaperone… no biggie… until I found out that I have to have him at the school before 6am and we won’t be back until 7pm… D’oh. We are going camping with the boy scouts and we were suppose to follow them up at 5:30pm to the camp site. Not happening. The Scout Master was cool and said we could show up late and I would have a ton of scouts ready to help us set up tent at 9pm at night. It works out in the end! Well… as long as I can get someone to watch the younger one while I’m gone!

Swim Meet

The boys had a blast!

and

I was very proud of them. They tried hard, cheered their team mates on and just enjoyed themselves. That is a good time.

Swimming in the Rain

Looks like a wet day. Not a bad thing for the kids since they are going to swim practice right after school. Though it looks like they may be swimming in the rain again. My oldest didn’t swim yesterday because his stomach hurt. I didn’t believe him. I didn’t let him have electronics when we got home. Tough. No exercise, no play.

On the other hand… the youngest swam the whole time, got out, and snuck back in with the older group before I realized what had happened. I just wanted to get out of the cold rain! There is a swim meet Saturday morning and the youngest is so excited about it. It should be a blast. Their first one!

I just wish we didn’t have to get up at 6am to get ready for it… ugh.

For some odd reason

my children believe they cannot touch the elf. Hence, where ever he gets put, he stays. They were NOT happy yesterday morning when he was in the best chair in the play room with the best wii remote with him… he even had the strap wrapped around his wrist.

Luckily today he is sitting on the exercise bike. I don’t think that will bother them much at all. ;-)

It made it from Japan

I ordered the boys some stuff off of Amazon and it said it was a Japanese store. Ok, so it has a Japanese name but really? From Japan? And it actually did come from Japan. In time for Christmas. I was so shocked when I saw the envelope. After Christmas I’ll have to post pictures… Very awesome!
