One Happy Dog Speaks

My boys love playing with the DSi camera and software. It allows you to warp pictures and all sorts of things. Aren’t I lovely in this one?

Though I found this one precious. I’m sure that is not what was the effect my youngest was trying to get… but I love it..

And this just makes me smile every time I see it…

My son was using my Nintendo DSI… which can take pictures… this is what I found on it:

Yep, I’m keeping these … more in a couple of days as I go through them all!

My oldest has been taking a ton of pictures with this camera… This morning he came up to me and showed me this on the LCD screen of his camera:

And asked me what it was. All I could think was how did he get a picture of a butt crack… so I told him I thought it was a butt… and he laughed. Nope, it was the bend of his elbow. Sigh… Boys.

Wanted to put out some pictures I took with my camera. I have been playing with it and tried some closeups. What do you think? (click to enlarge)

Yaa, plants around the yard. The purple seeded one is a huge weed. I just couldn’t resist taking a picture of it anyways.

Well… I broke down and bought a new camera. A really nice Sony DSC-HX5V. Why? Because for the price it does a whole lot of stuff that I want. Twilight setting, panoramic, closeups (sorta), burst shots and more. In fact I was playing with it outside. Trying to figure out how to do the closeups and got these pictures:

And I found a flower in bloom in my yard, with this heat most stuff is wilting!

Better yet, this leaf that looks like it needs acne treatments to look normal again:

What bugs me is I can’t find the setting for it. It seems to happen ‘automatically’ if I stand still enough. I liked my simple camera better because I could say I wanted a closeup with a click of a button. I’m sure I can do it with this one as well, I just don’t know how yet. It has way to much stuff to figure out and not a real good manual. Searching and reading the web is what I have been doing but that is very time consuming and with two kids… yaa… not going to happen a lot. I’ll get there!

I have been taking pictures with my Canon camera but not posting… because my harddrive is on the fritz. And I tried to get my backup to go to another drive and it doesn’t like to go to any drive but F… teach me to use the cheap software that comes with the backup drive. Sigh.
