More Shoeboxes

Not only do the second graders get to utilize shoeboxes… so do Kindergarten kids…

Tot was so excited about his diorama… he pasted the Mayflower to the back after he colored it. And he colored blue under it for water. He loved talking about the cow and the chicken and the house. It was exciting and I loved the expressions on his face as he told me about it.

And he thinks he is even a bigger boy because he has homework that has to be done on computers. Looks a lot like educational play and I think that is great. I was just amazed at how much the teacher assigned. We’ll keep plugging away. Wish there were more math games and less grammer… but such is life. ;-)

Router issues

Seems my Linksys router is biting the dust a second time. It is very old and doesn’t like cell phones, microwaves, and rain. Bought a new netgear rangemax that worked great and the turkey bit the dust one day about 5 months ago. I wasn’t here so I am assuming we had a power hit that was just too much for it despite my precautions. Which sent me back to my old linksys.

Then for my birthday I got a new printer… and it came with a linksys router. I was going to sell it on ebay, but I think I’ll give it a shot. It is a newer version router than the one I’m using. Just hope it works better.

Give you some info when I hook it up. Looks like we are going to have a lot of rain over the next couple of months and I hate having to power down my router every time it rains. Wish me luck!
