One Happy Dog Speaks

My friend has a husband who has a hurt back. Not just a little hurt. He has been doing physical therapy for a couple of months without it helping much. Then he has gone on to shots with the therapy. Yep, it has been another couple of months and it doesn’t look much improved. She is wondering if surgery is next. There is laser spine surgery now. Which is suppose to be better than the conventional surgery. I’m more worried that his back is so bad and they have 2 kids. One is still in middle school. I hope they find something to get him up and moving more. Kids need their dad.

Now that is funny… My friend, Sticks, sent my boys a book… Farts a spotter’s guide by Bower. Oh My… The boys LOVE IT. It even makes noises for you as you learn about the farts. From the Seismic Blast (Stinkitupsii blowdoorsoffis) to In Between States (Offalsmellsii changepantus) to a whole lot more… They haven’t read it like I have. Yes, I read it. It is hilarious. If you have boys, I suggest you check it out.

Happiest of birthdays Bou!

I’m happy and sad. Happy my friend and her son got to come visit, and sad they are leaving Wednesday morning. It has been a fun time with them. The boys are having a blast… mainly because her son, A, is so active. He gets them out playing soccer, baseball, running down to see the goats, swinging and the like. I love it because he has as much energy as they do and can just keep on going and going and going.

Ok, off to work for a couple of hours and then PLAY TIME!

I have been following the Japanese Earth Quake. I have a friend whose parents and brother live there. Her brother lives on the northern coast… luckily her folks are in the center of the island. Still… she answered me at 6am that she had not heard from them and it took almost til 11 until she was able to get back with me and let me know she had been talking to them for the previous hour. I was also messaging my sister… my nephew and his wife and child are living in Hawaii. His wife is Japanese, so I asked about them as well. They live in Southern Japan.

Still, I get up every morning and read about it. I feel so bad about this disaster. I have talked to my boys about it. We got up this morning, ate breakfast and got ready to take off. They are going to work with me. Our day continues as normal… it is a weird sensation to think about what is going on there and what is happening here. I have already given money to a charity for Japanese earthquake victims and I will continue to see what I can do to help. What a way to start a vacation week.
