Photos? What Photos?

Wow. I have gotten way behind in picture taking. I was trying to take a picture every day to document one year with photos. I blew it big time. I don’t have photos of the kids getting on the bus the first day of school… though I might remedy that today and get pictures today of them getting on the bus.

I haven’t take many pictures since mid-August. Oh I have a few on my phone. Not 30 days worth. Sigh. It is amazing how school starts and suddenly, I don’t get much done with my ‘projects’. Like getting the boys bathroom towel rack removed and new hangers put in… or getting the camping stuff organized, or getting rails on my car for camping, or getting my windows tinted… and the list goes on. Guess I need to get with it and get my ‘extras’ done before the year is out. Organization isn’t the problem… finding the time to do it is…

Yesterday was … work, grocery shopping, cleaning, play date, swim practice, homework, karate and dinner. Some time in there, I got to breath. Today is much easier. Just hope it goes as well. Will let you know.

Not the tulips around here… legos… yes! Paper with tape all over it… yes! And what ever else the boys can find to make a mess. They are certainly staying busy. Still need to work harder on getting the typing down. I haven’t really pushed it and I just realized June was OVER. Yes folks, it is amazing how quick the time goes. Yearbook stuff, cub scout stuff, work, kids, camps, typing, math, reading… ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh… when does school start back so I can take a break?

It is nice having my mom here… Ok, more than nice. I get to spend more time with my kids because of her. I get to play ‘puppies’ or operation or chess… because the laundry is done and dinner started. Yep… I really enjoy this part of summer. Having my mom here. Life is good to me.

Ever notice you are losing hair when you wash it? Some times it is worse than others. If it keeps up at the rate it is happening to me right now I’m going to need a hair loss treatment.

I have been stressing about the end of school… making sure I can keep doing my job… checking out a possible new school for my child… waiting on the ‘books’ to arrive that I want to use to keep them doing some stuff over the summer… trying to clean up my house and get rid of stuff… I am a pack rat and it is getting to be too much… And… my boys both are coming down with colds. Ugh. I need a break. Seriously. Oh… and I really really want to get back into my genealogy. Sigh.

Odd Conversations

The boys thought we were nuts the other day… the paper had a picture of people walking around warning that the end of the world was coming… We were laughing about it. Had to explain to the boys that the same person declared it was going to happen in 1994. Then recently explained his math was off and it was … oh… May 21st. Hmmm… Everyone I know is still here and I know some very good people. Guess he didn’t do his math well – again.

Add to that just some weird stuff that happens in South Florida. You have to laugh. Otherwise you might lock yourself in a bubble and never come out. Or at least move from South Florida. Though, I’m not sure there are any places that are ‘safe’ from the weird people who live in this world. Ok, I’m weird, but not dangerous weird. Ahhhh… back to life… off to work…

Is It Really Another Day?

Wow. Where did the days go? I feel like a walking zombie. I haven’t been able to sleep well or nap. Oh, I have tried, but it just didn’t happen. I forgot to take my vitamins and MSM/Glucosamine for three days and I feel it. My back hurts (I have arthritis in it) and my hip (not sure but bet it is arthritis as well). I have little tiny pimples on part of my face. Wonder what the best acne treatment would be for that… that won’t screw up everything else on my face. My little black hair on my chin is back. It should be a fun week this week and all I can think of is the stuff that hasn’t gotten done in days and the catch up involved.

Ok, it is not the end of the world… and God always keeps me going… sometimes I listen better than others. Right now, I think I’m tuned into another station… the ‘Whine and Cheese’ station. I will change it… hopefully today. My morning started out well with seeing that Bin Laden was killed by US Troops and the kids having slept decently last night. Tomorrow, I should have some better posts and happier moments to report. Really!

Hello Life. You certainly can get me going some days. First, the explanation of Jesus and why he died for the kids. Then the youngest wanting to know how if God is the father, Mary is the mother, then who is Joseph thing. And was Joseph really the father of Jesus.

Much less I was in a really nasty mood yesterday. PMS? Menopause? Sleep deprivation? Or I’m coming down with something? I’m sure after a few out bursts my husband was wishing he had a woman doing cleaning in sexy french maid lingerie versus the witch with the attitude of YOU WILL HELP ME. Which isn’t much better today as the laundry is still on the couch and the dishes were NOT done last night when I went to bed at 9pm.

Which would have been earlier if my youngest would just settle down and let his brain stop for 5 minutes. I finally had to have him concentrate on his breathing.. and poof. He fell asleep. Though I do owe him the answer to the difference between plausible and probable.

FIVE WEEKS OF SCHOOL LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been a challenging week. Getting the kids to school, working and finding time to play with my friend. The families went out this weekend. Once to go bike riding together at a park near here… and one of the stops we made was to see this:

On Sunday we went snorkeling. There were a ton of fish out to see…

Hard to believe today is the last day. Or the fact that easter is this weekend. Where did the time go???

Ok, I shouldn’t be so excited but I am! Even with my ESE/Teacher meeting in the morning… and the ADD/Dysgraphia discussions, I’m still excited. I have a good friend and her son staying with us, my boys are actually behaving better than normal and my husband is back to his normal routine… in fact he almost caught the 11 year old in a foot race. Considering the 11 year old jumped through a swing to get away… the 11 year old started it by shoving my husband down when both were racing to get a ball… my hubby actually stayed up with him most of the way. Yaa… it’s been fun. In fact, I even had 30 minutes to play Pokemon today. Ahhhhhhhhhh.

Whoa… what a week. I am having a blast with a friend that has come to visit. But it has made for a lot to happen and I’m ready for the weekend when I can stop running all over and just relax and talk. The battery on my car died the other morning and of course my husband was already gone to work. We ended up riding the bikes to the bus stop. Luckily one of the other parents volunteered to bring my boys bikes back to the house. Otherwise, I was going to have an interesting trip home with 3 bikes. Ahhh… life is good… just need a break.
