Ok, today my boys go to school. And then I will be home with them for three days. 3 days. THREE DAYS. Then the weekend… making a total of FIVE DAYS. Good thing I love them so much. My kids were funny while Mamaw was here. She asked the Oldest to help her buckle her shoes. He said it was find, he understood how things got more difficult for the elderly. What? That sounds more like an adult than a 10 year old!
To add to the humor… the table talk the last night was great.
Mom: How was dinner?
Oldest: Great. Mamaw is a better cook than you are.
Mamaw: *blink*
Me: *big smile*
Youngest: Mamaw is the second best cook. The Japanese restaurant has the best cook ever.
Did you catch that? I wasn’t even mentioned! hahahaha. Gotta love those boys!

My mom has been around to talk to about all the stuff in my life… face to face. Not on a phone. She has helped me pick a color for my guest bathroom off the kitchen. And helped me with the boys rooms. Life is great. I can’t believe it is only a couple of days until she leaves. I love love love having dinner ready when I get home. She is so awesome! Ahhhh… back to the grindstone soon. At least I had a few moments of heaven on earth.

My mom wanted to go to a couple of different places yesterday. And she said I could make a couple of stops. Well… a couple turned into seven. Seven. And the last one was the worst. It was at the mall and the two places she wanted to go to were at opposite ends of the mall. I thought she was going to beat me by the end of it. GRIN. Doesn’t help that I can’t remember our mall stores. I go for something specific when I go and get out. I’m not use to knowing what is where… ask Bou, I call her half the time to ask where something is and hope she knows!
Still… it was GREAT getting to talk to my mom and discuss all the craziness in my life. And to have someone go around and do stuff with…. yep, life is great.

My mom made it down to visit. I love her! And she is living here with me for a week. Life is good. Though she didn’t seem that interested in helping me haul my boys all over creation. Hahahaha. She made a great deal though… she’ll make sure dinner is going as we head home. Yep. Life is fabulous in this household.

Phew. My mom is in town. Considering the stuff happening to me, I’m glad she made it safe. I thought she was going to chew me up one side and down the other though. Just getting out of P’cola her plane was an hour late. Which meant she was missing her connection in Atlanta. She ended up with a 3 hour layover in Atlanta. Did I mention she HATES flying and airports? Yaa. I thought I was going to be in soooo much trouble. Luckily, she was happy to be here and see the grandkids that I survived. GRIN.

What a crazy Father’s day. My oldest decided running a fever would be the best way to keep us all home and together. Ugh. Luckily my husband got a new wii game for father’s day. Better yet, he picked it up himself. Don’t fuss at me… he won’t tell me diddly squat on what he wants for a present. Drives me nuts. Hence, he can buy his own gift, give it to me, I give it to the kids and then they get to give it to him. Yaa, I would have been able to surprise him in the past but it is getting harder and harder every year. He buys what he wants. ARGH.
Ok, on to some less stressful news. My mom is coming!!!! I’m so psyched! 5 days until Saturday. 5 days until I get to see my mom!!!! Life is good!

They had wands out and all sorts of cool moves. Mamaw rocks on getting the boys cool costumes.

It was a busy morning with lots of gifts. If you notice by Mamaw’s hand, there is the Kung Zhu pet with it’s pikachu costume. The costume Mamaw made!

Yep, that is the ‘old’ game of Operation. Except it has been updated to have a cell phone in the wrist and a few other new ones. We played it and loved it. Hubby, Mamaw and I played it once and ended up laughing so hard we were crying. There was one item we just could not get out. Definitely not going to use the hard setting with the boys, we’ll never finish a game!

Being I am very analytical and not very creative… I snuck out on the web and found this poem by Joanna Fuchs
Super Mom
Mom, you’re a wonderful mother,
So gentle, yet so strong.
The many ways you show you care
Always make me feel I belong.
You’re patient when I’m foolish;
You give guidance when I ask;
It seems you can do most anything;
You’re the master of every task.
You’re a dependable source of comfort;
You’re my cushion when I fall.
You help in times of trouble;
You support me whenever I call.
I love you more than you know;
You have my total respect.
If I had my choice of mothers,
You’d be the one I’d select!
By Joanna Fuchs
