Here is my out of control Tomato plants!
And my poor cucumber that has some kind of little dudes making webs. They are the size of the tip of pin.

While out taking pictures of my fruit this week, I had to take a picture of the only flower in my yard right now:

I think it is pretty. I love a splash of color in my green, green yard of weeds.

I have a mango tree as well. I was excited because I was getting some nice sized mangoes on it. Here is a picture of one:

Did you catch the ‘was getting’? I went out today to find all the lower mangoes… including the one in the picture was gone. I found them on the ground a little ways away. With teeth marks in them. To big for squirrels, so I’m thinking raccoons. Sigh. Hope they can’t climb the tree so I can get some mangoes eventually.

My avocados are gone. Sniff Sniff…
Those cute little dudes are missing from my tree. In fact ALL of them are gone. Could be a couple of things. I noticed holes in the leaves… but not the critter that made them… and it was extremely windy the other day. No matter what the reason, all my avocados are gone off my tree. I am sad.

Wow. My garden is running wild. I have not been feeling up to going out and taking care of it. While the weeds are running rampant, the vegies are actually producing. I found tomatoes, green beans, strawberries and other miscellaneous items that should have been harvested a week or two ago. I cleaned it up some, got some fertilizer on it and am hoping I can keep it up starting next week. I need to thin/spread the broccoli and weed some more. I was looking around and thought it would be cool if I added a small decorative pond. I love the sound of water… then I realized… it would have to be kept clean, I would probably need a pond aerator, which means electricity and the list continued. Sigh… guess I’ll just work on growing some vegies for the rabbits, squirrels and us…

Most of you know that I love plants and playing in dirt… or have figured it out! I have been looking at different plants to put in my yard lately… like Blackberry plants… and the list my sister sent me…
Blue plumbago, a loose airy shrub the butterflys love and will bloom all season. This plan can be chopped in half or quarters each year and moved to create more gardens.
Phlox is also a wonderful addition and some have a great fragrance. I usually go with pink – not the creeping type unless you have a specific area for it.
Echinacea, will normally see in a pink color, but also comes in white, oranges and I’ve ordered it in bright red this year. The stems are sturdier and I never cut it back, even once it looks horrible; the birds love the seeds from the heads in the fall and winter.
Rudibecia (sp?) and wonderful yellow flower grows to approx 3 feet. This one can be cut back and should create new flowers – no seedheads from this one.
The last two I will cut back almost to the ground in March – will send you a picture this year; although they are already showing green leave – but they look like they are burned. They multiply which is why I like they so much.
And don’t forget your Butterfly Bush, any color, any fragrance, they are wonderful.
If you can find the coral porterweed, plant one for Dad, the butterflys and hummingbirds will be there all the time. They are not as attracted the the minatures.
And of course, bronze fennel for the butterfly larval as well as flat leave parsley.
Yes, I posted this here… so I don’t lose it!!! I know I’m going to delete it out of my email eventually without realizing what it is… I have done that many times in the past. If I don’t answer your email it is probably because it got deleted on accident. I can get delete happy sometimes. (psst… isn’t this better than the last post? )

Today is Teacher Planning day, which means I’m starting off late this morning. I am hoping we have more strawberries this morning… Here are some I picked last weekend.
I think I need to get some more strawberry plants. We don’t get quite enough strawberries for the family!
It is going to be a busy playdate day… got to get running and make sure the house is presentable and the crafts ready… phew…
